to be, call my office and speak to Lisa. I'm sure she can help you out. Goodnight."
Rory stood by the intercom, waiting until she no longer heard noise from the two girls, before going back to the study.

Rory reached down for her cell phone when she noticed Martie's BMW in the company parking garage. The phone rang before she could dial out.
"Hey, it's Martie. I received an interesting email this morning from Lisa Keaton. I think you should see it."
"I was just about to call you. I'm proud of you, Martie. You've made it to work before me two days this week. I'm impressed."
"This is serious, Rory. That girl that snuck in here yesterday won't give up. Apparently, she sent an email to the company and requested a meeting with Lisa and she also would like a personal meeting with you."
"Yeah, I already know. She stopped by my house last night."
"She did what! Oh my God, Rory! Did you call the cops?" Martie screeched, pacing the floor in the hall waiting for the elevator to stop. One hand was holding her cell phone against her ear and the other was in the pocket of her black pants suit.
"No, I didn't call the cops. Geez, Martie, don't be so paranoid."
"Paranoid! Excuse me. You had a stalker show up at your house in the middle of the night. What am I suppose to think? You didn't let her in the gate did you?"
"No, of course not. I called down to the intercom and told her to speak with Lisa in the morning if she wanted to be looked at by our company because I don't deal directly with prospects. The odd part is, she wasn't alone. I guess the other girl had been with her at the office too."
"I don't like—" Martie was cut off by the elevator opening.
Rory was standing there grinning. Her light colored hair and baby blue eyes stood out in contrast to her bronzed skin. If anyone noticed her impeccable good looks when she was around them, they ignored it. Martie knew firsthand what that was like. She'd had her chance with Rory and chose to be her best friend instead. In her own words, it was safer to love her and have her in her life forever as a best friend than to have her as a lover and lose her to someone or something else down the road.
"I think you can hang up now, Martie, unless of course, I'm imagining you standing there with your jaw on the floor."
Martie grabbed Rory's hand, urging her past Alex and through the door of her office. Once inside, she closed the door and spun around. Rory put her briefcase on the floor and sat down in her chair with hands folded neatly in front of her on the desk.
"How can you sit there looking so calm and smug? I don't get you, I swear I don't. Personally, I would've called the cops and had the damn kid arrested for stalking. What happens when she comes back, as you and I both know she will?"
"Well, if she comes back, I guess I'll have to handle it, now won't I. Honestly, I think it's over with. I explained the way things work last night and she contacted Lisa afterwards, so as far as I can see, it's over with."
"Ok, fine, don't come crawling to me when she kicks your door in or jumps in your car at a red light or some stupid shit like that."
Rory sat back laughing. "Get real, Martie. I seriously doubt anything like that will happen."
Martie shook her head, walking out of the office. She stopped in the hallway, turning back towards the closed door. Damn it, Rory. You don't see it and it's right in front of you. This girl is wild and reckless just like you were, not too long ago. You've pushed that part of your life and that side of you so far away, that you don't even remember it anymore. The fire in your eyes burned out four years ago.
Rory picked up her phone, dialing an extension as Martie shut the door. "Hello Lisa, it's Rory," she said when the bubbly woman answered.
"Hello, Rory. How may I help you?"
"A girl contacted you last night or this morning requesting a meeting, correct?"
"Yes ma'am she did. I received an email from her this morning. I've never
