post sex. Score another point for Trent.
    “Isn’t
the moon pretty tonight?” he said pointing to the window.
And a man who noticed the moon? Score two.
    “It
really is pretty. And the stars too.”
    “You
think you might want to stay the night here with me rather than the camper?” he
asked her.
    “Depends
on what we’re going to do.”
    “Oh,
I have lots of ideas.”
    “Okay.
I guess I won’t have to worry about that big bad bear scaring me again.”
    “No,
he won’t bother you.”
    “Do
you know a lot about bears?”
    “As
a matter of fact I do, why?”
    “Well,
I know this sounds horrible, and hence the reason I don’t want to do it, but the
second thing my dad was going to do was hunt a bear.”
    “You
have to shoot a bear?”
    “You
wouldn’t like to help with that like you did with the fishing, would you?”
    He
didn’t respond. Shit, she’d ruined the evening and the moment. Maybe he was an
animal rights advocate.
    “Do
you have a problem with hunting bears?”
    “You’re
damn right I do.”

    Chapter Six

    Just
when you thought a relationship was off to a good start, something like this
had to raise its ugly head.
    Sure,
he knew lots of folks in these parts hunted. That’s how he’d fucking gotten
shot in the thigh. He looked at her. She was the most beautiful woman he’d ever
seen and he loved being with her. He wanted their relationship to continue
beyond their hooking up for sex while she was here fishing.
    The truth.
    He
had to tell her the truth. She might go running, but he didn’t want them to go
any further with whatever it was that was happening between them, without her
knowing the truth .
    However,
since they’d crash-landed here on earth, the truth was something they’d been
forced to hide. Letting outsiders know about them was putting not only one
person at risk, but also everyone in the group.
    “Have
I said something to offend you because if I have, just tell me,” said Emily.
    “No,
it’s not that, but I don’t want you hunting a bear because I might know it
personally.”
    She
knitted her eyebrows together.
    “You
told me you sometimes feed the wolves and I can see that you might feel that
way.”
    He
took a deep breath. Here goes. “I’m a
bear.”
    Shit, that had slipped out
before he’d censored it or at least phrased it in such a way she wouldn’t call
the local mental hospital and have him shipped out.
    “Oh
yes, you are. I mean the way you make love to a woman.” She playfully rolled
him over and straddled him.
    Now
what was he going to do? His cock was hard and he wanted sex again. She rubbed
her folds against the very tip of his shaft, sending it jerking and into a
complete frenzy.
    He
had a whole box of condoms, and it would be a shame not to put them to good
use. If she couldn’t accept and believe he was a bear, this might be the only
human he’d ever make love with. He might as well make the most of it.
    He
ran his hands over her ass cheeks. She was like a big cuddly bear herself.
Maybe that’s why he had the hots for her.
    “If
you’re a bear you’ll be able to catch me.”
    Emily
slid out from under the quilt and ran out of the room.
    Didn’t
she know that just like their bear counterparts, shifters chased anything that
was a moving target? She was asking for trouble.
    He
fumbled for the box of condoms, pulled one out, and slipped it on. Putting his
nose in the air, he knew exactly where she was.
    “I’m
coming to get you,” called Trent.
    The
thought of doing this, playing this game every night with Emily made him almost
come then and there.
    She
was leaning over the arm of the chair, his dad’s old chair, with her ass high
in the air. The scent of her juices was overwhelming. His heart beat faster and
blood pumped through his body. He had to have her and he had to take her from
behind this time.
    He
quickened his pace and ran his hands up and down her body. Her skin was soft.
Running his finger down her crack, he played
