keep you.”
Her heart soared. His words were exactly what
she wanted to hear, and they meant more to her than she ever expected. She
wanted to jump for joy, but instead she remained in his lap keeping her focus
on his words.
“I need you to look at me.”
She lifted her head and stared into his eyes.
She’d do anything for him.
“What do you want, Bernie?” he asked.
    “To be yours.”
“Do you have any idea what you’re asking?”
“Yes, I signed that contract hoping you’d want
to keep me. I’m not completely stupid. Sandra told me about picking a Dom and
how it can change your life. I didn’t want anyone else to train me but you.”
“I claimed you, Bernie. The moment you walked
into the club I warned all other Doms away from you.
You were mine, and no one else was going to touch what was mine.”
Her heart hammered inside her chest.
“What does that mean?” she asked. Could she get
her hopes up? She had no idea what to do.
“It means I never intended to hand you over to
someone else. I always intended to keep you.”
“Then why draw up the contract with the club?
And why haven’t you approached me?” None of his words made any sense. If he
always intended to take her, why did she have to wait?
“The club has rules. You’ll come to see in this
lifestyle everything has a contract or some form of binding to protect all submissives .
Tyler
knew you’d picked me, but he has to abide by his code. You’re under his
protection no matter what.”
    “Why didn’t you approach me?”
He took her hand in his and turned her hand
over to draw little circles against her palm.   “You’ve been like a scared little kitten. I
refused to go to you when I know you’d run away from me.”
She couldn’t argue with him. No matter the
attraction she’d have probably scampered from him at the first opportunity.
Time, anticipation, want and need had helped her to deal with her own issues.
“You needed time to grow accustomed to me.”
    “And now?”
“We’ll begin your training tomorrow. I need to
make a phone call.”
“It’s late. Couldn’t Master Tyler wait ‘til
tomorrow? ” Maybe she’d have time to call Sandra with a
warning.
“Sandra will get what’s coming to her. You’ll
stay here and get some rest.” He tapped her nose then got out of bed. She
watched him go for the stairs without putting on a bathrobe or anything to
cover himself with.
“Aren’t you going to wear something?” she
asked.
    He chuckled without answering.
She lay back down, her heart slowing down from
the hammering pace of moments ago. Bernice wondered what it all meant. There
was no way everything could be solved that easily. She wished she had her cell
phone to call Sandra. She hoped the other woman wouldn’t mind. Sandra was her
only friend. The last thing she wanted to do was cause a problem.
Closing her eyes, Bernice wondered what the
future would bring. This was the first Christmas she’d looked forward to in
such a long time. It would the first   Christmas that she’d spend with the
man she loved. Did she love
Leon
?
She really thought so. He was the first man
she’d do anything for.
    ****
    Leon
chuckled as he
walked down the stairs and over to where he’d left the cell phone. Her
attraction toward him was better than he thought possible. He couldn’t stop
smiling. Dialling Kink’s number he waited for
Tyler
to answer. He pressed the number that
would put him through to the main office, and
Tyler
answered on the fourth ring.
    “Trouble in paradise
already?” Tyler
asked.
    “Not at all. More like
trouble with a member of Kink.”
Leon
moved toward the fridge and poured himself a glass of fresh orange juice. He
glanced up to his bedroom to see if Bernie would be waiting for him.
The stairs were empty. For her
own safety he was pleased. He’d need to punish her tomorrow for talking
about him with her friend. Her training would be so much sweeter knowing she
wanted him to keep her.
