shut,
and Wayne was on her. He pushed her up against the nearest wall.
His feet tapped hers apart, and he pressed his leg up to her
sopping pussy. “I don’t know what’s gotten into you but I don’t
like it.”
“What’s not to like?”
she asked.
Fucking hell, he loved
this woman. Spunk, attitude, kind, and sexy as hell. He would own
her before their time was done. Their time being
for-fucking-ever.
“I love that sassy
mouth, but I think I can put it to better uses like wrapped around
my cock.” He wanted to turn her on. Wayne saw her eyes dilate, and
her breath hitch up a notch.
Bingo.
“I’ve never done
that.”
Wayne knew there was a
lot she hadn’t done, and he looked forward to teach her everything
he liked.
He stroked a thumb over
her luscious lips and pressed to gain access. “Then that’s
something we better rectify. I want these lips, red and puffy,
swallowing me down.” She sucked his thumb like a lollipop and
licked along the tip. “You’ll be a natural at it.”
Wayne may have
blackmailed, and in effect bought his future wife, but all the
clichés of convenience and having a marriage to carry on the
bloodline was fucked up to him. He wanted a full-blown marriage.
His biggest problem was his impatience. He couldn’t deal with the
time it would take to woo her properly and risk never being part of
her life at all.
Her eyes opened and she
gazed at him, and all he wanted to do was lose himself in her
stare. “Go and get a costume while I deal with business. This is
your home now, your life. Please, share it with me.” That was all
he would give her. He’d never begged in his whole life, and he
wouldn’t start now even if this woman owned his heart and didn’t
yet know it.
She nodded, and he let
her go. At the door, she took a lingering look back at him and then
left.
Wayne made his way to
his office where he’d sent Richard earlier. Richard sat at the desk
drummed his fingers along the hard stained wood. He stood when
Wayne entered. “Trusted friend and lawyer? I take it you haven’t
introduced her to our other friend Tony?”
Tony, Richard, and
Wayne had been inseparable as they grew up and when they went to
college, they were known as the terrible trio. Other men feared and
admired them while women cried for their attention.
Wayne shook his head
and went straight for his scotch supply.
“How long has she
agreed to be your wife?” He heard the laughter in his friend’s
voice, but he didn’t care. Wayne needed to have the burn of the
sharp liquor to know he was still alive after she left his
apartment. “So this is the girl you’ve been following around like a
puppy dog?”
“She doesn’t know that,
and I’d like to keep it that way.” Richard and Tony were his
closest friends, and they thought he was crazy spending the time
waiting for Lily when there was a sea of willing females ready to
be anything he wanted.
“She’s a little
young.”
“Don’t you think I know
that? I feel like I’m corrupting her or something, but she wasn’t
happy at her parent’s place. The fucking place was a mausoleum, and
they all hated her. I’m doing the right thing.”
“Maybe Lily’s a bitch
behind closed doors?”
The anger inside him
was instant and threatened to spill over. “If you value our
friendship, you’ll keep your opinion to yourself. She doesn’t
deserve that, and I won’t take it from you about her.”
Richard held his hands
up in surrender.
Wayne nodded and drank
the last remnants of his drink, and he winced. One glass would do.
He would never let her see him drunk.
“Please tell me why
you’ve drawn up such a tight-knit pre-nup? Even I wouldn’t sign
this, and I drew it up.”
“So she can never leave
me. No woman would leave her child or anything else stated in
there.”
With any luck, Lily
wouldn’t read through the large document tying her to him further.
If she did read it, he knew she wouldn’t sign it.

business
