trembled, her legs spastic, threatening to collapse. He groaned and thrust a few more times before he pulled out and collapsed next to her, panting and heaving, his magnificent chest rising and falling.
Baylee rolled over onto her back and covered her forehead with her arm.
“Oh, my God. That was intense,” she said between breaths.
He reached over and squeezed her tit. “Glad it was good for you.”
“Was it for you?” she asked tentatively.
“Fuck yeah.” He stood up and padded to the bathroom, his firm ass flexing with each step.
Baylee remained in bed wondering what the protocol was for a one-night stand. Did she thank him and show him the door? Did she ask him if he wanted to spend the night? What the hell was she supposed to do? She sat up and finger-combed her hair.
“Ready for another round?” Baylee looked over her shoulder and saw that Axe’s wonderful dick was erect once more. How can he be hard again so quickly? The guy is amazing.
“Sure, why not?” She flashed him a devilish grin.
A crooked half-smile crossed his face. Standing next to the bed, he dragged her toward him. “Yeah. Why the fuck not? The fun is just beginning.”

Chapter Three
T he morning sun streaming in through the picture window woke Baylee up. As she squinted through sleep-bleary eyes, she brought her slender fingers to her temples and pressed hard, trying to quell the incessant pounding. She groaned and covered her eyes with her hands. Damn, my head hurts. It feels like a freight train is running through it. Fuck. Pushing herself up, she staggered toward the bathroom in search of some aspirin.
After swallowing a couple of pills, she shuffled back to the room, the sunbeams stabbing her eyes. Closing the curtains, she welcomed the darkness of the cool room. What a night. I drank too much and fucked too much. Her cheeks burned brightly, and a funny squiggle seized her stomach when she thought of the dirty deeds she and her one-night stand had engaged in the previous night. But in that moment, with a pounding head and sore muscles, she realized they may have been a bit overzealous.
Baylee glanced at the empty spot next to where she’d slept. He was gone. She had no idea when he left; she hadn’t heard him leave. After hours of sex in various positions, she’d finally collapsed, sated and exhausted, sleep quickly overtaking her. Scanning the room, she noticed he didn’t leave anything like a phone number or a note telling her how wonderful she was, or that he was so smitten he wanted to see her again.
Okay, Baylee, just stop. You had a one-night stand with a gorgeous stud, but it was all about the sex. Don’t make anything more of this. It was obvious he hadn’t. She was sure he probably did this type of thing on a regular basis. She was just another fun night for him. But wasn’t that what she wanted? Hadn’t she been the one who said she didn’t want to know any personal information, not even his name? He’d complied with her wishes, so why was she miffed? Why did she feel slighted that he hadn’t left her a note, hadn’t woken her before he left?
He’d just slipped away, like a thief in the night, after robbing her of her humdrum sex life. How in the hell am I ever going to enjoy sex again after last night?
Baylee sighed then lay back down, trying to shut out the memories of Axe’s soft, warm lips on her body. It was a one-night stand. She’d never see him again, and that was fine; she was too busy for anything that involved any emotion other than lust anyway. Her sexual rendezvous was mind-blowing and should last her for quite a while. Thinking she’d take advantage of the quiet of the room, she closed her eyes and fell fast asleep.

Monday morning blues affected a lot of people, but not Baylee. She loved Mondays and greeted them with a spring in her step, ready to finish old projects so she could start new ones.
At twenty-five years old, Baylee had her professional life
